Earning Points

You can earn points by shopping or by engaging in any of the following activities.

Points don't expire and it's free to join, so there's no risk! Points will reset to 0 if your UMass Rewards Account has been inactive for 12 months (i.e. no purchases made or activity engagement). Points are not transferable to a different account.

The highest tier (Doctorate) is subject to a minimum annual spending amount of $500 to maintain the tier status. If the minimum spending amount is not maintained, the account will move back to the Masters Tier, where there is no spending minimum.

Vouchers are available in increments of $5, $10, and $15 and don't expire until December 31 of the calendar year in which they were redeemed.

What Items are Eligible for Earning and Redeeming Points?

You can earn points by purchasing any of the below categories from the UMass Store, whether online or in-store.

Earn Points On

• Branded apparel
• Branded gifts (including diploma frames)
• Custom items
• All Supplies

You can use your points, in the form of UMass Bucks vouchers, on any of the following items purchased from the UMass Store, whether online or in-store.

Redeem Points On

• Branded apparel
• Branded gifts (including diploma frames)
• UMass-branded supplies

The following categories are not eligible to earn points or for UMass Bucks voucher discounts.

Exclusions

• Previous purchases
• Custom items
• Technology
• Hydro Flask
• Convenience items
• Food and drinks

Program Eligibility & Terms

You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in the UMass Rewards Program. Current UMass Store employees and UMass staff are eligible to join the program, however, they will only be able to use their Rewards vouchers or their discount, but not combined. UMass Departments are not eligible to join the program.

If you return merchandise that you purchased with UMass Bucks, you will be refunded the amount you paid (excluding the value of the UMass Bucks discount and any other discounts) to the original method of payment. For example, if you placed an order totaling $100 for one item and used a $10 Rewards Cash, we will refund $90 to your original method of payment. Returns of any item purchased using UMass Bucks will result in a refund of the amount you paid for the item, excluding the value of the voucher used. You will not receive replacement UMass Bucks for returned merchandise and the UMass Store will not credit the redeemed Referral and Loyalty Points back to your Program Account.

Joining is easy, and FREE! Simply create an account on our website and opt into the program. If you already have an account, sign in and opt-in at the account summary page.

Make sure to log in before purchasing online or check out under your name in-store so that your points are added to your account. Download our UMass Rewards app to easily access your rewards account.
